- Posture
Relax your shoulders and pull your shoulders blades slightly towards each other while you are working.
2. Neck stretches
Sitting upright with your shoulder blades slightly pulled together, move your neck slowly forward (chin to chest) and hold the movement for 10 seconds, to the side (ear to shoulder), backwards and rotate to each side for 10 seconds.
A long session in front of a computer causes a rounded-back posture which can shorten the pectoral muscles as well. Observe the quick and easy stretch that you can do to open up the chest and stretch those pecs!
3. Take regular breaks
Don’t forget to stand up and stretch your legs every hour. This can be a short 5-minute break to do your neck stretches, have some water and take a few breathes of fresh air to rejuvenate the mind!
